Rules! We all have rules. There are rules for things like going online, crossing the street, there are even rules like brushing your teeth and washing your hands. Sometimes we learn rules by watching others - like how we brush our hair or how to play Slamwich or Ninja. God has rules for us to follow - honor our parents, love our enemies, etc. This weekend we are going to talk about His rules for relationships (friends, parents, siblings). God designed us to work best in the midst of relationships. He loves us so much that He has some relational rules to help us live our lives to the fullest! In fact, He loves us so much that He gives us a choice. We can choose to base our life and our relationships on the world’s ways or the world’s rules. OR we can choose to base our life and relationships on God’s ways and God’s rules. At the iLife retreat we are going to talk about we can prefer one another by forgiving, accepting, serving and encouraging by doing it God’s way rather than our way or the world’s way.
